Professional Profile

Emily Bollinger, MA, CCLS holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rochester and an M.A. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri.  She has been a Certified Child Life Specialist since 2008 and has also worked as a community-based child development specialist, supervised the horseback riding program at the Hole in the Wall Gang camp for children with chronic or terminal illnesses, and has taught pre-school classes for children ages 0 through 5 years old. Emily began teaching at the college level in 2010 as an instructor and internship supervisor for the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at East Carolina University.  After moving Kentucky, she became a part-time faculty member of the Department of Child and Family Studies at Eastern Kentucky University, and works clinically as a Certified Child Life Specialist at Kentucky Children’s Hospital in addition to teaching in the Department of Family Sciences at the University of Kentucky.
